Answers to the questions we hear most about how Verified Malaysia works.
Verified Malaysia is an independent company information and comparison platform. We organise Malaysian company information by industry and location, and let users compare companies that serve the same buying decision.
No. Verified Malaysia is not a government agency, accreditation body or regulator, and is not affiliated with SSM or any other Malaysian authority. We do not certify, guarantee or endorse listed businesses.
Listed means the profile is compiled from publicly available sources such as the company's official website and public records. It is the default status for every company on the platform and does not mean the company has been endorsed or certified.
Verified means specified company information has passed Verified Malaysia's verification process and authorised company details have been confirmed. It is not government certification, a quality guarantee, a financial safety rating, a best-company award or a recommendation.
An authorised representative applies via Submit a Company or Claim a Profile, then the submission goes through editorial review against a fixed checklist: the business registration can be checked, the business appears to be operating, an official digital presence exists, contact and address details can be checked, the representative's identity can be confirmed, and the submitted details don't materially conflict with public sources.
Primarily from each company's own official website, public disclosures and public records. Every profile records its source and a last-reviewed date. See How We Verify for the full process.
Each rating is tied to one specific, named Google Business Profile or branch — never averaged across a company's outlets and never converted into a Verified Malaysia score. Ratings refresh on a monthly cycle and are clearly credited as Google data.
No. Submission or payment does not guarantee publication, ranking, endorsement or Verified status. Verified status is granted only after the information passes editorial review.
Google ratings and review counts refresh monthly. Other company facts are updated when a correction is submitted and confirmed, or when a profile is next reviewed — each profile shows its last-reviewed date.
Use Request a Correction, describe what's wrong and provide a source where possible. See the Correction Policy for how requests are reviewed.
Verified Malaysia only allows companies to be compared when they serve the same buying decision — for example, a flooring company can't be compared with a water-filtration company just because both sit under Home & Renovation.
